Responsibilities Team Introduction The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions. including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, financial services and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. Responsibilities This role is responsible for developing and managing payment and financial service partnerships to achieve best-in-class solutions in Southeast Asia region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both the payment and financial service industry, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of driving results through strategic collaborations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in Southeast Asia region, ensuring continuous alignment and collaboration. Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners to enhance financial service capabilities. Develop and execute partnership strategies that align with the company's objectives and growth plans. Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. Engage associations, regulators and key authorities with country BDs and cross-team members when required. Monitor and analyze both payment and financial service performance metrics to ensure optimal outcomes. Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Country BDs, Solution, Product, Compliance, Finance) to integrate partner solutions and enhance processes. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape in the global payments space, especially in the financial service area. Conducting market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats to the business. Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on market analysis and partner feedback. Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of strategic partnership program projects aligned with organizational goals. Establish clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for partnerships. Track and report on the progress of OKRs, making adjustments as necessary to achieve targets. Create regular reporting mechanisms (e.g., weekly progress updates), identify risks, and resolve delays to ensure project success. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent business communication in English. Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions. Proven ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects simultaneously. Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications 5 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic roles within the financial service industry. Ideally, the candidate to have experience working in payment and financial service related companies (such as BNPL). Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
