Job Title: Manager/Senior Manager Client Success

THE OBJECTIVEThe Manager/Senior Manager Client Success, also called a major account manager, key account manager, or national/global account manager, is the guardian of the strategic client relationship, orchestrating the deployment of corporate-wide resources to provide comprehensive products, services, and solutions to the strategic account. You will manage MCI’s Account(s) base in Singapore or the Asia Pacific region to continue momentum in winning more business through strategic communication and relationship management, contributing to the achievement of financial goals and growth of the allocated account. You will ensure smooth communication flow and knowledge sharing with the Director, Corporate and with the Client Success team based in Singapore.
THE WORKClient Relationship Management (40%)
- Implement Annual Client Needs Assessment + Account Action Plan + Personal Action Plan
- Manage relationships with local and country contacts
- Have a thorough understanding of client’s current and future needs
- Take a client perspective, be the voice of the client within MCI
- Meet client needs: be the voice of the client within MCI, responsible for the overall client experience and orchestrating deployment of MCI resources to provide comprehensive products, services, and solutions
- Possess a client-centric attitude, good networking skills, empathy and cultural sensitivity
Strategic Sales & Value Creation (20%)
- Identify global account trends and developments
- Develop growth within existing accounts in cooperation with Project Managers
- Increase local country business opportunities; expose opportunities for MCI to offer business solutions and innovation
- Identify opportunities for meetings and events within Singapore and Asia Pacific and work with colleagues across MCI offices to pursue them
- Create value by addressing client objectives and unmet needs in creative ways
- Plan and deliver effective, impactful and persuasive presentations
- Upsell MCI services and solutions proactively during the project lifecycle
- Prepare thoroughly for negotiations and handle objections using a consultative approach
- Quantify value and increase MCI’s revenue and market share
- Oversee proposal and budget creation for pitches and RFPs and understand event/project budgets and operations
Leadership and Performance Management (20%)
- Manage multi-functional/geographical/virtual teams and endorse processes
- Apply financial planning skills to allocate resources based on strategies and objectives
- Delegate and empower team members
- Monitor health of all relationships between MCI and clients
- De-escalate disagreements and orchestrate resolutions
Strategic Planning & Execution (10%)
- Achieve competitive advantage and growth through planned account action plans
- Increase long-term client value and contribute to MCI’s organic growth objectives
- Know when to move forward or ease back on opportunities to maintain relationship strength
- Resolve short-term challenges without being overwhelmed by day-to-day pressures
- Translate client strategies and unmet needs into actionable plans aligned with MCI objectives
Leveraging Organizational Priorities (10%)
- Use industry and market knowledge to serve the client as a trusted advisor
- Articulate knowledge of MCI products and solutions to demonstrate their value for the client
- Uphold MCI’s Code of Business Ethics and Sustainability Policy
Reporting to the Director, Client Success with daily verbal and written status updates. Develop rapport with the team in Meeting & Events, and across all product practices.
THE GOOD TO HAVEWell-rounded individuals with business or marketing degrees are suitable educational backgrounds for this role. 5 years of experience in meetings and events and/or hotel and hospitality industry. Superb verbal, written communication and presentation skills are essential. Able to conduct research from multiple sources, analyze findings, develop concept plans, and possess a digital mindset. Great client mindset and proactive disposition. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
