Role Summary
We are seeking a transformational Head of Marketing to lead our Singapore-based marketing operations and spearhead regional coordination across five markets. This is not a maintenance role — we are looking for a change leader who will innovate, challenge the status quo, and elevate the marketing team to the next level.
Reporting directly to the CMO, you will oversee four core departments — Digital Advertising, Editorial, Video Production, and Marketing Communications (Marcom) — and drive alignment with local marketing teams across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate has a tech or startup background, thrives in fast-paced, consumer-facing environments, and is passionate about building high-performance teams capable of delivering measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a change catalyst within the marketing team — introducing new ideas, strategies, tools, and processes that boost creativity, efficiency, and performance.
- Inspire, mentor, and upskill team members to raise the standard of output across all marketing functions.
- Identify gaps, challenge existing approaches, and implement improvements that align with Motorist’s growth ambitions.
- Champion a culture of experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous learning.
- Drive regional marketing transformation by introducing scalable strategies, tools, and processes that elevate performance across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
- Build a culture of shared innovation by encouraging cross-market experimentation, knowledge sharing, and rapid adoption of best practices.
- Align regional teams with HQ’s vision while empowering them to localise creatively for maximum market impact.
- Introduce new frameworks to measure, compare, and optimise performance between markets.
- Lead and transform the Digital Advertising, Editorial, Video Production, and Marcom teams, driving both performance and creativity.
- Digital Advertising – Set the strategic direction for paid media and SEO, leveraging emerging technologies, advanced analytics, and innovative targeting to position Motorist as the market leader in lead generation efficiency and digital brand visibility.
- Editorial – Shape the editorial vision to deliver influential, insight-driven automotive content that reinforces Motorist’s thought leadership, deepens audience trust, and supports strategic partnerships and revenue opportunities.
- Video Production – Define a long-term video content strategy that integrates brand storytelling with platform-native innovation, ensuring video output serves as a key driver for market differentiation, audience engagement, and brand equity growth.
- Marcom – Lead the evolution of Motorist’s brand communications strategy to significantly strengthen brand equity and position Motorist as a household name. Build an engaged community and expand organic reach through purpose-driven campaigns, compelling brand storytelling, and integrated customer engagement initiatives that leave a lasting impression across all touchpoints.
- Introduce advanced marketing analytics dashboards to track and visualise cross-channel performance in real time.
- Foster a test-and-learn culture, using rapid experimentation and post-mortem reviews to continuously refine strategies.
- Reassess KPIs to focus on metrics that directly link to growth and customer lifetime value.
- Implement forward-looking reporting, including predictive modelling, to anticipate opportunities and risks
- 8+ years in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role driving transformation or scaling teams.
- Proven success in tech or startup environments, preferably in consumer-facing businesses. Strong track record in both performance marketing and brand building.
- Regional experience across Southeast Asia is a plus.
- Visionary leader with the ability to inspire, influence, and transform a team.
- Deep knowledge of digital marketing, content, social media, and video production.
- Analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable working with KPIs and ROI metrics.
