Job Responsibilities :

  1. Drive organic business growth by generating revenue from new and existing customers and markets. Own and manage all direct sales channels.
  2. Provide deep customer insights to the Product team to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs.
  3. Contact assigned or targeted customers and prospects to sell company products within a designated geography or sector. Focus on meeting personal sales targets, developing new business, maintaining customer relationships, and troubleshooting customer issues.
  4. Develop a sales plan to achieve revenue retention, growth, and new business within your customer portfolio or sector, aiming to meet or exceed personal sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
  5. Implement client relationship management plans to identify and build relationships with decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations. Facilitate effective communication and understanding to deliver customer value and resolve issues.
  6. Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting. Customize presentations to engage customer decision-makers and influencers. Ask relevant questions to assess interest and identify areas needing further information or explanation.
  7. Build a personal network within the industry and represent the company at sector events. Gather market intelligence and enhance the company's visibility and reputation as a provider of holistic safety solutions.
  8. Configure product and service solutions, including contractual terms, to meet customer needs, collaborating with internal specialists. Present solutions and negotiate agreements within predefined commercial parameters.
  9. Collaborate with internal teams as a customer champion to strengthen external relationships.
  10. Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements :

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field, with a Master Mariner or Chief Engineer certification.
  • Minimum of five years of marine sales experience or related industry experience.
  • Strong network and familiarity within the marine industry.
  • Experience in direct sales, technical product support, or sales process facilitation. Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Ability to interpret complex and high-volume information to solve problems effectively.
  • Comfortable engaging with diverse groups of people.
  • Skilled in navigating complex organizational policies, processes, and dynamics.
  • Gains trust through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
