  • Adexen was mandated by a multinational maritime organization to recruit an experienced Marine Technical Manager for their operations in Asia. The position is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities

TheTechnical Manager / Marine will oversee the technical operations and marine standards of a fleet of AHTS vessels operating in the offshore oil & gas sector across the sub-region. Based in Singapore , the successful candidate will ensure optimal vessel performance, regulatory compliance, and technical integrity while supporting operational excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Management & Technical Oversight

Manage and supervise the technical operations of a fleet of AHTS vessels.

Ensure timely and cost-effective execution of maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, and upgrades.

Monitor vessel performance and implement corrective actions when required.

Optimize technical performance to ensure high availability and operational efficiency.

Regulatory & Safety Compliance

Ensure all vessels comply with international, flag state, and class regulations.

Promote and enforce safety and environmental standards onboard all vessels.

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS).

Team Management & Support

Lead and supervise a team of Superintendents, Engineers, and technical support staff.

Liaise with Masters and Chief Engineers to resolve technical issues and provide guidance.

Organize regular vessel inspections and onboard audits.

Budgeting & Cost Control

Prepare and manage technical budgets for the fleet.

Monitor and control OPEX and CAPEX expenditures.

Evaluate and select suppliers and contractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Stakeholder Coordination

Act as the main technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients.

Collaborate closely with Operations, Crewing, HSEQ, and Procurement departments.

Provide technical reports and updates to senior management as required.

Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture (or equivalent).

Chief Engineer license or equivalent maritime qualification preferred.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical management within the offshore marine industry, with significant exposure to AHTS vessels .

Strong knowledge of offshore oil & gas operations and vessel technical systems.

Experience managing teams and working in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

High attention to detail and safety.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).
