Role Overview

The Land Policy team drives planning and policy development on industrial land to support manufacturing and industrialisation in Singapore. This includes staffing of other policy and corporate matters of the JTC Corporation, a 5th Schedule Statutory Board. We utilize rigorous data analysis and extensive industry/stakeholder engagement to understand economic and industrial land market trends, continually refining our land policies. Our work ensures Singapore remains attractive to investments and maintains a vibrant manufacturing ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Ministry of Finance and sector agencies on a review of industrial land pricing frameworks.
  • Ensure sufficient industrial land and space to meet mid- to long-term economic needs, including land creation, safeguarding, and reviewing land recycling and intensification strategies.
  • Support new growth areas and enhance company competitiveness through land policies, working with MTI statutory boards to ensure land allocation supports good jobs.
  • Partner with JTC Corporation on innovative facilities and next-generation mixed-use districts to address manufacturing trends and productivity.
  • Monitor and maintain a stable, sustainable, and competitive industrial property market by working with JTC on land releases, pricing, and rentals.
  • Oversee corporate issues of JTC and its subsidiaries, including organizational development, fiscal sustainability, and board matters.
Candidate Profile
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude, adaptable to a fluid environment, and willing to push boundaries.
  • Ability to synthesize multiple stakeholder perspectives from government, industry, and the public.
  • Self-starter and team player with excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Dreams big but remains pragmatic.
  • Experience in public policy formulation and inter-agency project management.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with numbers and basic economic concepts.
