Finance Manager

Role and Responsibilities The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing group accounting, consolidation, ensuring accuracy of financial information, preparing and publishing financial statements, analyzing financial data and variances, ensuring compliance with Group policies and regulations, coordinating auditing processes and improving group processes and controls. Group Accounting Be the technical expert on questions related to IFRS and the Group Accounting Manual To improve or update the Group Accounting Manual when required Reviewing and standardizing the Group’s Chart of Accounts Allocation of central costs and management fees Overseeing intercompany balances Keeping track of the Group’s intercompany loans Conduct periodic review of the Group’s and subsidiaries’ financials Review and approve major lease accounting entries Preparing accounting close and reporting calendar and oversight of the close processes Be the lead for Cognos related matters; as Administrator, and managing the reporting structure and forms within Cognos Ensure submissions from subsidiaries are complete, accurate and on-time Consolidation of the Group’s financials for statutory and management purposes Preparing financial reports for executive leadership, Board and shareholders Compliance & Internal Controls Responsible for preparing the Group’s audited financial statements Ensure compliance with IFRS, regulations and the Group Accounting Manual Coordinating audit processes One of the primary contacts with the Group’s external auditors Assist in standardizing, improving and implementing internal processes and controls in the Group Assist in establishing an Internal Control Framework for the Group Assist in maintaining the authority matrix Planning Support development of the Group’s forecast, budget and strategic plan Treasury, Tax & Secretarial Support Treasury, Tax and other functions on legal entity simplification, dividends, intercompany loans, etc. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting Qualified Chartered Accountant from a recognized professional accountancy body Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience, including 4 to 8 years in audit roles within a Big Four accounting firm At least 4 years in a leadership role in the Group Accounting function of a global MNC High level of expertise in IFRS Experience in accounting manual/policy writing Experience in group consolidation with multiple currencies Experience as a Cognos Administrator Detailed, careful and organized Preferred Skills Understand finance and business processes, with experience in implementation of global ERP roll-outs Experience in the manufacturing industry Knowledge of treasury, tax and transfer pricing Excellent skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Finance Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
