Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Lead Engineer. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for driving technical excellence, building and managing a high-performing engineering team, developing scalable architecture and infrastructure, and delivering robust solutions for institutional clients. The Lead Engineer will work closely with product, data science, and leadership teams to identify technical opportunities, establish engineering best practices, and scale our platform capabilities in the blockchain intelligence space. What you'll do Build and lead our engineering organization, establishing architecture patterns, development workflows, and best practices for institutional-grade software systems Own the full development lifecycle from design to deployment, building scalable solutions that serve institutional investors, funds, and blockchain professionals Develop and execute technical roadmaps for new products and platform capabilities, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security Collaborate with product and data science teams to refine technical requirements, API design, and system integration strategies Drive technical excellence and innovation while maintaining the security, reliability, and performance standards our institutional clients expect What we're looking for Proven track record in software engineering, preferably building systems for institutional clients or enterprise customers Experience building and scaling engineering teams and establishing development processes from early stages Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and software architecture patterns Excellent technical leadership and communication skills with ability to collaborate with C-level executives and decision-makers Strategic thinking with the ability to identify technical opportunities and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions Self-motivated and able to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment Experience in blockchain infrastructure, fintech systems, or SaaS platforms is a plus Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred Why Cobalt Finance?
