Global Head of Enablement, Transaction Banking Cash Management

Overview Global Head of Enablement, Transaction Banking Cash Management. Area of interest: Corporate & Commercial Banking. Responsibilities Strategy – Work with Cash MT to define and implement the business strategic agenda to maximise shareholder value, identify and create areas of competitive advantage. Actively participate at the Cash MT to contribute to the Transaction Banking strategic priorities that are aligned to Cash, maximise shareholder value, identify and create areas of competitive advantage and align to the overall strategic direction of the wider business. Support the development and implementation of the strategic priorities for Cash business. Support the Business in contributing to the Bank’s near-term and long-term revenue targets. Support the group cash head to enable the business to progress towards being best in class Cash Management Bank by prioritising investments, improving delivery of commitment, timelines / quality within our chosen segment. Work closely with the TB COO / TB Investment Portfolio Management and represent Cash interest in prioritisation of investments across various projects. Ensure global systems, capabilities and processes are fit for purpose and implemented as per expected standards across the footprint. Business – Work closely with the Cash MT, providing support in all aspects of business development including execution of business strategy, long term growth plans. Collaborate with the various support functions and ensure their teams have the appropriate skill and capacity to support business growth and delivery of the business priorities. Drive automation and standardisation to improve productivity and efficiency for sustainable growth and scalability. Remove blockages and enable revenue growth while keeping the business safe. Assist in implementation of regulatory or structural change driven projects. Assist in implementing tactical and strategic projects to operationalise the Bank’s Fit for Growth agenda targets. Own the embedding and maintenance of product lifecycle development in the Cash product function. Processes – Work with Technology and Operations to drive continuous improvement of operational efficiency, effectiveness and consistency of global processes and systems. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to sustain competitive advantage. Manage the implementation of policies and control standards set by risk control owners, ensuring compliance and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite. Ensure a framework for effective management of operational risks and compliance with internal policies and external laws and regulations. Oversee governance of Cash Risk Forum. People & Talent – Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set tone and expectations with the team and collaborate with risk and control partners. Support the Cash Head to employ, engage and retain high-quality people, with succession planning for critical roles. Review team structure and capacity plans. Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports of the Cash Head and provide feedback and rewards in line with performance (where permitted). Support the Cash Head in driving talent management, mobility, training calendars, and D&I initiatives. Risk Management – Ensure appropriate frameworks are in place so TB Cash operates within the Group’s risk appetite; manage reputational, operational and credit risks where applicable, in conjunction with the business and stakeholders. Balance performance with risk and control matters to remain within risk appetite. Work with the Global Head Conduct & Control to shape risk, compliance and conduct agenda; push the conduct agenda. Resolve audit and compliance findings in a timely manner to improve processes and procedures. Ensure Cash MT focus on risks and conduct; escalate to risk committees as appropriate. Develop and strengthen product risk governance through PLC and other governance disciplines. Governance – Maintain awareness of the regulatory framework and requirements relevant to the role. Deliver effective governance; challenge fellow executives; cooperate with regulators as needed. Escalate to TB NFRC and/or other governance committees or stakeholders as required. Support Cash’s strategic technology initiatives by building business cases for technology investments and drive adoption of technology solutions to enhance efficiency and growth. Think creatively to simplify processes and enhance controls as part of design. Our Ideal Candidate Minimum 15 - 20 years of professional experience as a leader in TB/Cash Business management at the global level. Professional memberships; relevant memberships to be agreed. Languages: English. Commercial acumen with a strong grasp of Cash P&L dynamics, cost management, margins and returns optimization. Stays current in knowledge with a focus on the future of technology. Self-motivated leader with a growth mindset. Advanced level communicator with ability to influence and manage stakeholders from various seniorities and backgrounds, preferably with international exposure. Innovative and current in applying human-centered design principles. Leads on agile as a way of working and has proven experience transforming tech organisations to agile. Deep experience in understanding business and product risk. Builds a culture and environment that attracts and retains top talent, including driving diversity and inclusion.
