The role of the Transaction Banking System Delivery Head is responsible for the end-to-end technology delivery of Transaction Banking products (including cash management, payments, trade finance) systems. This role oversees the implementation, enhancement, and support of mission critical platforms to enable business growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver best-in-class client experiences.

• Set the global technology roadmap for Transaction Banking in alignment with business priorities, regulatory changes and emerging technologies
• Own and manage full lifecycle delivery of all projects emphasising availability, low latency, scalability and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, robust and secure technology solutions
• Lead technology teams (in-house and vendor teams) across build, test, deploy and support phases
• Ensure project / programme management rigour is applied to all initiatives, adhering to agreed budgets, timelines and quality
• Oversee system architecture, design standards and integration strategies
• Proactively manage technology risks, include cybersecurity, resilience and regulatory compliance
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with business, operations, compliance and head office stakeholders
• Responsible for driving alignment to delivery governance and quality assurance policies and technology and architecture standards of Mizuho
• Identify and manage project dependencies, risks and issues across all regional projects with standardized communication plan and change management processes
• Manage vendor relationships and SLAs related to APAC regional transaction banking platforms
• Build and lead a high performing team with a culture of ownership, accountability and collaboration
• Support production incident management and service recovery processes as an escalation point

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Deep understanding of transaction banking products
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in banking technology with specific experience in the implementation and support for Transaction Banking solutions
• Cash Management including systems for domestic and cross border payments, collections and receivables, virtual accounts, cash concentration, liquidity management and sweeping, real time and high-volume payments and clearing integration; payment screening technologies and requirements
• Trade Finance solutions covering documentary trade (LCs, standby LCs and guarantees), open account trade (supply chain financing, and receivables financing), collection bills; digital trade initiatives
• Strong track record of managing complex technology deliveries with multiple vendor solutions, system integration and customizations for local regulatory and business requirements
• Experience in cloud-native, multi-cloud, real-time platforms, microservices, APIs, tokenization and deployment orchestration
• Expertise in migration from legacy platforms to modern architecture design to increase modularity and allow rapid product innovation
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards (eg: ISO20022, SWIFT) and regulatory frameworks
• Proven leadership skills in managing diverse technology teams and vendor partners
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive business alignment across business and technology
