We are seeking a Human Rights Specialist based in Metropolis, Buona Vista, Singapore to support the establishment and daily operations of our newly formed Labour and Human Rights function. This role assists in implementing our human rights strategy across global operations, conducting foundational assessments, coordinating training, managing documentation, and supporting stakeholder engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate eager to grow in the human‑rights field within the oil & gas or related sectors. Key Responsibilities Play a key role in drafting and formulating human‑rights policies, procedures, tools, and guidance notes. Coordinate human‑rights related activities, including supporting development of strategy, preparing draft action plans for critical topics such as forced labour, and remedy, and maintaining document management with the IMS team. Contribute to the roll‑out of the human‑rights strategy and action plans under the guidance of senior team members. Track progress against key initiatives and prepare status updates and dashboards. Conduct human‑rights risk impact assessments for projects, vendors, and locations after developing the standard procedure. Assist in developing training content (slides, handouts, e‑learning modules) and compiling case studies. Coordinate logistics for training sessions (in‑person and virtual), including invitations, materials, and attendance tracking. Track completion rates and feedback; prepare summaries and recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human rights, law, social sciences, international relations, public policy, or a related field. Experience 5–8 years of relevant experience (fellowships, or in‑house roles in human rights, ESG, sustainability, compliance). Experience in oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, or manufacturing is a plus but not required. Experience in a human‑rights or sustainability‑focused consulting company or law firm is a plus but not must. Good understanding of international human‑rights standards and frameworks (e.g., UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, ILO core conventions). Familiarity with supply‑chain due diligence and grievance mechanisms is advantageous.
