Overview

Operations Analyst - Entry Level (Banking, Trade Settlement). An exciting opportunity for an Operations Analyst to join a leading banking firm on a 12-month contract. This role provides exposure to Treasury & Markets operations, focusing on Foreign Exchange, Money Market, and Non-Deliverable Forward products across regional markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for trade validation, settlement, reconciliation, and contributing to process improvements.

Mandatory Skill-set
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline;
  • Must have strong knowledge in financial markets operations or trade support;
  • Must have knowledge of foreign exchange and money market products;
  • Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills;
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Desired Skill-set
  • Familiarity with CLS processes and settlement systems;
  • Experience with reconciliation and exception handling;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with regional stakeholders;
  • Exposure to Treasury & Markets operational risk and control practices.
Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end processing support for Treasury & Markets trades across FX, Money Market, and Non-Deliverable Forward products;
  • Perform trade validation, settlement, reconciliation, and control checks;
  • Monitor and handle exception trades, investigating and resolving issues promptly;
  • Support CLS control functions for FX settlement processes across multiple entities;
  • Participate in initiatives and projects to enhance process efficiency and productivity;
  • Conduct data analysis to support reporting, exception tracking, and continuous improvements;
  • Take accountability for resolving operational issues and demonstrating ownership of trade-related exceptions;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth trade operations.
