Overview We are seeking a highly skilled VP, Senior Application Support Engineer (L3) to join a leading fin-tech organization. The role involves end-to-end ownership of critical production systems, providing expert-level support, and coordinating across global teams to ensure high availability and reliability of business applications. Responsibilities Serve as the sole point of ownership for L3 support issues. Log, track, and manage support issues and vendor tickets. Maintain support roster, including shift assignments and coverage during holidays and critical business periods. Engage with vendors for escalations, product defects, patches, and technical guidance. Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes, configuration changes, or data corrections. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) sessions and ensure closure of preventive action items. Provide timely updates during high-severity incidents. Conduct code reviews for hotfixes, changes, and technical implementations. Validate change artifacts, including technical impact analysis, release procedures, and test evidence. Prepare change requests, risk assessments, and rollback plans. Represent changes in change advisory board meetings. Coordinate production deployments across teams, ensuring smooth execution. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in application support, with at least 2–5 years in a senior L3 or leadership capacity, within banking or financial institutions. Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL are highly desirable. Experience in managing or coordinating offshore support teams. Solid understanding of incident management, problem resolution, and production support processes. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Hands-on experience in Java development and SQL. Experience deploying and maintaining Java cloudnative applications is a plus. Experience with BPM systems, container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift), and enterprise infrastructure concepts (load balancer, firewall, API gateway, high availability, monitoring & logging) is advantageous.
