What the role is: You oversee the strategic dissemination of information and messaging in support of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)'s missions, long-term objectives and operations, leading a branch to develop and deliver timely, effective information to key stakeholders. What you will be working on: Responsibilities Lead development and implementation of comprehensive information delivery plans Develop and execute crisis communication plans Oversee creation and curation of informational materials Coordinate with other branches and departments to ensure messaging alignment Develop methodologies to monitor and measure media activities' effectiveness Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to improve public communication efforts Lead a diverse team of planners, analysts and support staff Challenges Embracing steep learning curve while providing accurate, relevant and timely products Working under time pressure in a fast-paced information environment Being flexible and adaptive to rapid changes and new developments Managing diverse stakeholders across several agencies Leading and coordinating teams effectively What we are looking for: Education in Mass Communications or Social Sciences (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Psychology, Economics) At least 10 years of working experience with prior managerial experience in related industries/fields Strong analytical skills and writing abilities Good awareness of Singapore's political, defence and security developments Knowledge of current affairs Acute awareness of regional and international media environment Understanding of how media can be leveraged to advance MINDEF/SAF interests Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
