Job Title: Training Manager

Location: Singapore & Shanghai

Location Type: Hybrid

  • Assess current and future training needs by conducting job analyses, reviewing career development paths, and collaborating with line managers and HR across APAC.
  • Design and implement comprehensive training plans for diverse audiences, including internal teams and external channel partners.
  • Deploy a variety of training methods such as instructor-led workshops, e-learning modules, coaching sessions, and peer mentoring, tailored for regional needs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback, performance metrics, and ROI analysis, and refine programs accordingly.
  • Manage the training budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective delivery of learning solutions.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in learning and development, incorporating innovative approaches and technologies relevant to APAC markets.
  • Collaborate with external training providers and certification bodies to deliver accredited programs where applicable.
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are equipped for success from day one.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning training initiatives with commercial and operational objectives across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Training Manager or similar L&D leadership role, preferably in a commercial or technical environment.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and influence stakeholders across cultures.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS); familiarity with digital learning tools is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in training, coaching, or instructional design (e.g., CIPD, ATD, or similar) are advantageous.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Cultural agility and adaptability, with a track record of working effectively across departments and diverse markets in APAC.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin or another Asian language is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 20–30%) to deliver training and engage with stakeholders across APAC.
