Managing Director – Southeast Asia and Australasia at ZwickRoell Singapore. ZwickRoell is a global leader in materials testing systems with a long-standing, family-owned heritage. We are hiring an experienced Managing Director based in Singapore to provide overall vision and direction for ZwickRoell in the ASEAN region, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia & New Zealand.

• Develops, coordinates, and implements regional and country-specific strategic initiatives derived from the overall corporate strategy to excite existing and win new international and regional customers.
• Gatheres and understands insights of regional customers’ needs through regular visits in focus countries; interpret and share findings within the ZwickRoell Group and regional stakeholders.
• Ensure the ZwickRoell values, processes, tools, and guidelines are implemented, lived, and further developed within the Singapore team.
• Sustainably develop marketing, sales and aftersales initiatives involving relevant stakeholders and suppliers, in close coordination with headquarters.
• Develop regional entities and partner channels, ensuring corporate risk and compliance guidelines are understood and followed.
• Report and review current and forecasted business and market trends within an established reporting system; manage operational excellence using CRM and BI tools.
• Contribute expertise in a major materials testing industry/segment to be a recognized partner for customers and stakeholders.
• Build partnerships and networks with customers, associations, decision-makers, and influencers.
• Takes full order entry and profit and loss responsibility for the annual budget.
• Identify growth opportunities with local management to ensure efficiency and profitability and implement risk management.
• Lead a high-performing team and foster a respectful, motivating work environment for employee development.
• Communicate company goals and strategies transparently and establish clear performance standards and expectations.
• Ensure compliance with country-specific and internal regulations, and legal requirements.
• Responsible for Bizsafe certification/compliance and management in Singapore, and governance of subsidiaries and branches in Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia and Vietnam.

• Preferred bachelor’s in engineering or business/operational management
• Strong business and financial acumen, including interpretation of financial statements and governance principles
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken language, with ability to present effectively
• 7-10 years of experience in a precision industrial equipment company, with 5-7 years in a managerial role
• Regional experience in business development related to technical investment goods and services in plastics, metals, automotive or medical/pharmaceutical industries
• Experience managing direct and indirect sales and service channels with personnel responsibilities for at least 8 years
• Proven track record in growing high value-added precision equipment using customer value propositions
• Intercultural experience managing local and regional teams within ASEAN and/or Taiwan

• Travel 20% to 30% within Asia, with occasional travel to Germany and Austria
