Regional Director - Water, Southeast Asia Regional Director - Water, Southeast Asia role at SMEC . Overview We are seeking a Regional Director, Water to lead the Southeast Asia water business, ideally based out of Singapore . You will shape the strategic landscape by overseeing day-to-day operations and steering the water sub-sector, which encompasses water infrastructure, water resources and irrigation. You will lead growth, ensure operational and technical excellence, take accountability for profit and loss management, and mobilise resources within Southeast Asia. You will also cultivate strong client relationships and contribute to the overall growth of the SJ Group. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the water sub-sector in Southeast Asia. Lead strategic direction and growth of the Southeast Asian water business. Ensure high standards of operational and technical excellence. Take full accountability for profit and loss management. Champion development and mobilisation of resources within Southeast Asia. Cultivate strong client relationships and contribute to the SJ Group’s growth. Ideal Candidate / Qualifications 15+ years in the water industry with proven success in senior management roles. Expertise in managing large-scale water projects, client relationships, and multidisciplinary teams. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; postgraduate and project management qualifications highly regarded. In-depth knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and market trends across Southeast Asia. Sound commercial understanding including previous P&L management. High-level communication skills, including negotiating and resolving highly complex commercial, technical and people matters. How To Apply All applications must be submitted online.
