Roles & Responsibilities

Yamal Trade Pte Ltd , a subsidiary of Yamal LNG Joint Venture, is a Singapore-incorporated company linked to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) produced in Yamal Peninsula, Russia.

Yamal Trade (Yamal) is seeking an LNG Vessel Operations Executive to join its Shipping Team. Yamal holds long-term Time Charters to support its Arctic LNG project. The fleet includes 26 LNG carriers and 2 condensate tankers, based in Singapore.

This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic shipping team in our Singapore office, focusing on core commercial activities. The candidate is expected to develop commercial acumen and contribute actively.

The successful candidate will assist the Vessels Operations Lead with:

  1. Pre-voyage: Planning voyages to meet schedules and contractual commitments, preparing Voyage Orders, appointing agencies and surveyors, ensuring vessel loading conditions meet requirements.
  2. During voyage: Monitoring vessel performance daily, managing documents such as Bills of Lading and Letters of Indemnity.
  3. Post-voyage: Identifying claims related to demurrage, quality, or performance, and releasing surveyor reports.
  4. Optimizing loading and delivery schedules.
  5. Collaborating with ship managers/owners for efficiency and minimal downtime.
  6. Liaising with buyers, vessel crews, port agents, bunker suppliers, surveyors, etc.
  7. Supporting other departments as needed.

Requirements

  1. Diploma in Maritime, Business, or equivalent.
  2. 2-5 years of experience in vessel operations; tanker experience preferred. Less experienced candidates may be considered for a junior role.
  3. Strong English communication skills.
  4. Good time management and prioritization skills.
  5. Problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn industry specifics.
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
  7. Flexibility to work outside office hours if necessary.
  8. Salary based on experience.
