What the role is As a Senior Head, Data and Analytics in the Higher Education Planning Office in MOE, you will conduct research and comparative studies to build a knowledge base on Singapore's higher education sector which will help inform educational policies and reviews. What you will be working on Conduct research and studies on the higher education sector to drive and support policy development and formulation Identify, collect and analyse data to build a knowledge base on the higher education sector Work closely with diverse stakeholders (e.g. Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and economic agencies) to scope and conduct research studies as well as to plan the manpower pipeline for the Singapore economy Manage data on higher education and facilitate requests from government agencies for such data Support the development of data capability across the Higher Education Group in MOE This is an individual contributor role. We welcome individuals with or without work experience to apply for the position. What we are looking for Trained in quantitative discipline(s) such as statistics, applied mathematics, business analytics, data science or economics Strong analytical and quantitative skills Interest in data analytics and familiarity with data management, statistical methods/ packages and analytical tools Ability to work well independently and in teams Ability to collaborate well with diverse stakeholders with different interests and perspectives Keen eye for detail and good sense of perspective In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
