The RoleThe role shall be responsible for the planning, budgeting, execution, implementation, and adoption of software applications within the group following approved deadlines and budgets. This corporate role focuses on managing application lifecycles, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives, and optimizing the utilization of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and colleague and guest experiences. This will include coordinating efforts of internal and external team members to deliver the projects according to plan.
ResponsibilitiesApplication Project Management:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of software applications, including requirements gathering, development, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize projects, and recommend solutions that align with business goals.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and IT standards.
Application Development & Customization:
- Oversee the design, development, and customization of applications to meet business needs.
- Work with external teams to ensure timely delivery of enhancements, bug fixes, and new features.
- Lead testing and quality assurance to ensure application performance and reliability.
Application Integration & Interface Management:
- Manage integrations with third-party systems (e.g., property management, point-of-sale) for seamless data flow and functionality.
- Work with departments to streamline processes and improve system interactions.
System Configuration & User Support:
- Configure applications to meet business requirements and optimize performance.
- Provide training, troubleshooting, and user support to ensure smooth application use.
Application Security & Compliance:
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on security threats and perform regular assessments to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Promote a collaborative work environment, fostering knowledge-sharing and cross-functional cooperation.
- Align application strategies with broader IT initiatives.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Manage vendor relationships and performance metrics.
- Assist with downtime management and ensure minimal business disruption.
- Travel as required for training or system implementations.
- Minimum Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Engineering, with at least 4 years of experience in similar capacity
- Professional Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification desired
- Knowledge in Project Management Tools preferred
- Knowledgeable and experience in corporate applications (ERP, CRM, CDP, HCM etc.) management and rollout, would be advantageous
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
