Assistant Manager, Educational Design

The Renaissance Engineering Programme is NTU's flagship engineering programme that aims to nurture engineering leaders with an entrepreneurial spirit to serve society. The programme covers a broad spectrum of multidisciplinary subjects bridging engineering, business and humanities.
The incumbent will work closely with faculty members to manage efforts in the use of learning technology in both online and offline learning environments and to support the team-based learning pedagogy for REP courses.
Responsibilities
Manage Team-based Learning (TBL) for REP coursesFacilitate TBL sessions using software and providing in-class supportWork with curriculum experts and faculty to ensure that the TBL materials that are developed are aligned to the learning outcomes of the relevant modulesProvide curriculum support to faculty in the area of using different technology mode for the lesson planEngage faculty to explore possibilities of TBL development for their courses and recommend approaches and solutions for the courses
Communication and outreachWork closely with student/alumni ambassadors and relevant departments on external university-wide outreach events and activitiesAssist with the various communication and publicity materials e.g, e-newsletters, e-brochures, videos
General safety and facilities managementAct as the safety representative for the department and be in charge of safety communicationsProvide facilities support, including maintenance, for teaching facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards
RequirementsPossess Bachelor Degree in related disciplines (such as Learning or Education Technology, Business Administration etc)Good knowledge of online course production for educational environmentHas minimally 3 years of relevant experience in educational technology and instructional design, preferably in an academic administrative role in a tertiary institutionHas experience with the use of instructional technology within a variety of curriculum and subject areas and familiar with the use of online learning technologiesA self-starter who is resourceful, committed and has strong interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood project management experience and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
