Purpose / Role We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Legal Counsel to support the Director, Legal (Asia) in managing a broad range of legal matters across the Surbana Jurong Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on high‑impact projects across Singapore and the wider Asia region, with a focus on construction, infrastructure, and real‑estate development. Responsibilities / Duties Advise on a wide spectrum of construction‑related legal matters, including the review and negotiation of consultancy contracts for architecture, engineering, and other professional services across Singapore, overseas, and cross‑border projects. Provide legal support on general commercial and construction documentation, including tender documents, RFPs, and building contract administration. Assist with legal aspects of financial and commercial issues related to real estate development and infrastructure works, as required. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to manage both complex and routine legal matters efficiently. Contribute to the coaching and mentoring of legal team members and deliver training sessions to internal clients. Stay abreast of legal developments and leverage legal technology tools to enhance service delivery. Identify and assess potential or actual conflicts of interest, offering guidance on appropriate mitigation and management strategies. Requirements University Degree holders in Law from a recognized institution. Qualified lawyers with up to 10 years of post‑qualification experience (PQE), ideally with a regional scope in Asia. Experienced in construction, commercial, and infrastructure law, with a strong understanding of the legal frameworks governing development projects. Strategic thinkers with a solution‑oriented approach and strong business acumen. Detail‑oriented and meticulous, with excellent drafting and analytical skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities. Tech‑savvy, with a proactive approach to adopting digital tools and platforms.
