We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Legal Counsel to join our growing team. Position Overview The Legal Counsel will support the legal and compliance function in reviewing, advising on and amending a wide range of agreements relating to each aspect of the international trading and supply business in Gas, LNG, and commodity derivatives. This role will contribute to the drafting and review of commercial agreements, and provide support on regulatory, compliance, and corporate matters. This role will also include exposure to potential disputes in the ordinary course of business. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the country’s energy resilience while navigating complex legal landscapes across the LNG and natural gas value chain. Job Responsibilities Contract Review & Drafting Assist in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements across the LNG value chain, including but not limited to Master Sale & Purchase Agreements, Long-Term Sale & Purchase Agreements, Gas Supply Agreements, Terminal Use Agreements, and ancillary agreements, such as ISDA agreements and banking agreements Support implementation and management of contractual obligations across the LNG value chain Stakeholder Management Collating input from and coordinating among the various internal teams, e.g. Commercial, Operations, Finance Liaising with external lawyers, counterparties and stakeholders Conduct legal research on regulatory, commercial, and operational matters impacting the gas and LNG sector Support contractual risk assessments and provide advice under the supervision of General Counsel/Deputy General Counsel (including on potential risk mitigation strategies) Assist in ensuring that the GasCo’s activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, corporate governance requirements, and compliance policies Support internal stakeholders on contract approval and signing processes Maintain legal and compliance registers, and manage document databases Assist with ad-hoc legal and compliance projects Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law, or related field Minimally 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the gas and LNG industry Familiar with LNG/gas contracts, trading terms (e.g. force majeure, delivery risk, etc.) and regulatory frameworks governing the LNG/gas sector Strong legal drafting and research skills with attention to detail Ability to work across multiple workstreams Strong communication and stakeholders’ management Collaborative and adaptable with a strong interest in deepening knowledge of LNG commercial transactions Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Singapore GasCo by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
