Senior Legal Counsel – Employment Law In this pivotal role you will be the primary legal advisor on all employment law matters. You will work directly with leadership and People & Culture teams to ensure compliance, foster positive labor relations, and champion best practices. Key Responsibilities Provide expert counsel on Singaporean employment law, regulations and labor practices. Coordinate employment law advice across the APAC region and India, including engagement with external law firms and Service Level Agreements. Advise business leaders and People & Culture on workforce strategy, policies and procedures. Manage internal processes and budget for engagement with external law firms. Monitor and track cases across the region; host quarterly meetings with regional P&C Heads. Draft, review and update employment contracts, policies and employee documentation. Develop and deliver training for management on labor law compliance. Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation and proactively advise on potential impacts. Manage employment‑related disputes, grievances and disciplinary actions, minimizing risk. Collaborate with global legal teams to implement company‑wide initiatives and harmonize labor practices. Provide strategic advice on managing labor union matters, collective bargaining agreements, contract negotiations, conflict resolution and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in law; postgraduate specialization in Employment Law or Labor Relations is highly desirable. Admitted to practice law in Singapore. Minimum of seven years post‑qualification experience focused exclusively on employment law, preferably within a multinational or technology‑driven environment. Strong knowledge of Singaporean labor legislation, jurisprudence and regulatory landscape; additional knowledge of Indian labor legislation could be an asset. Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Professional proficiency in English is required. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across diverse teams.
