ResponsibilitiesTeam Introduction: High ethical standards and a culture of integrity will play a pivotal role in achieving the vision of the Ethics Office. The Ethics Office was created to guide ethical leadership and decision making; develop, educate, and raise awareness of internal policies; and lead and manage investigations. Our Ethics Office is looking for a high-performing professional based in Singapore, with proven experience delivering results in complex business environments and supporting global initiatives. This will be an individual contributor role based in Singapore with potential leadership succession.
Main responsibilities would include driving best practices in ethical governance, risk management, and compliance - focusing on policy development, awareness, investigations and strategic reporting. Key responsibilities include assessing ethical risks, collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen ethics programs, monitoring regulatory changes, and preparing high-level reports for leadership. You will be joining our Global Ethics Office to:
- Design and implement regional disciplinary frameworks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), establishing clear, consistent guidelines across the organization.
- Lead global policy development and updates in key compliance areas - including the Code of Conduct, Speak Up, Conflicts of Interest, Gifts & Entertainment, and Non Discrimination and Anti-Harassment - ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory and ethical standards.
- Oversee data reporting and analytics to support functional and business needs, ensuring timely and accurate data analysis and driving continuous improvement in reporting processes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Partner with business units and risk functions to conduct and oversee case management system risk assessments, ensuring effective issue resolution, development of risk mitigation strategies, and evaluation of risk acceptance by senior management.
- Review and align local and departmental policies with global compliance standards, including operational handbooks and business line-specific guidelines.
- Establish and govern an allegation triaging framework aligned with company policies and procedures, working with Ethics Office leaders and cross-functional investigations teams to ensure consistency and timeliness.
- Provide strategic oversight of the internal case management system, ensuring accurate and efficient triage of allegations to the appropriate investigation teams and prompt resolution.
- Lead cross-functional remediation efforts, ensuring that findings from investigations are addressed with sustainable and actionable solutions that are integrated into business operations.
- Act as Data Owner for all employee-related data within the Ethics Office, managing system access, data integrity, and overall governance of sensitive information.
- Conduct strategic data analysis to proactively identify trends, emerging risks, and insights that inform ethics program priorities and enterprise-wide decision-making.
- Coordinate and deliver executive-level reporting and leadership reviews, providing actionable insights on ethics metrics, case trends, and program effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Risk Management, Compliance or a related field.- Demonstrated expertise in ethics, compliance, investigations, audit, risk, or related functions, preferably with leadership experience.- Proven track record leading global or regional ethics/compliance initiatives within complex organizations.- Strong knowledge of ethics, risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance standards.- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and trends, and translate insights into strategic actions and reporting.- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.- Strong project management skills, with experience driving cross-functional initiatives to completion and high level of integrity, discretion, and judgment when managing sensitive or confidential matters.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience leading ethics and compliance programs in fast-paced, high-growth, global tech environments, ideally within the social media, content platform, or digital entertainment space.- Qualified lawyer with experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles preferred.- Experience working with or overseeing ethics case management systems, helplines, internal investigations, and risk assessments in a large organization.- Demonstrated ability to navigate culturally diverse environments and communicate effectively across global teams and leadership.- Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to engage with Chinese stakeholders based in Chinese-speaking markets and the need to review documents in Mandarin.
