Purpose & Objectives:
TheLead / Senior UX Designerwill leaddesign and user experience effortsfocused on enhancingteachers’ professional development and learning. This role requires strongservice design skillsto understand user journeys, identify pain points, and develop intuitive solutions that support teachers’ learning needs.
Objectives:

• Developuser-centric solutionsto improve teachers’ professional development and learning experiences.
• Applyservice design methodologiesto deeply understand user needs and translate them into practical, effective designs.
• Drivedesign-thinking processesto create solutions that address real-world challenges faced by teachers.
• Leadresearch, ideation, prototyping, and testing processesto ensure alignment with user needs and expectations.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Service Design and User Research:
• Conductuser interviews, focus groups, and concept testingto gather insights on teachers’ pain points and challenges.
• Facilitatekick-off workshopsto define objectives, gather requirements, and align on business perspectives.
• Translate research insights into actionable, user-centric solutions.
• UX Design, Prototyping, and Testing:
• Designwireframes, prototypes, and user flowsto visualize and communicate concepts effectively.
• Validate designs throughconcept testing and user feedbackto ensure usability and relevance.
• Conductuser testing sessionsto gather insights and refine designs iteratively.
• Manage theend-to-end design process, from ideation and prototyping to feedback incorporation.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
• Collaborate withMOE stakeholders, product teams, and educational leadersto ensure alignment with professional development objectives.
• Facilitateworkshops and ideation sessionsto co-create solutions with teachers and stakeholders.
• Clearly communicatedesign decisions and insightsto stakeholders and project leads.
  

Skills, Behaviours, and Attributes Needed:

• Service Design Expertise:Proficiency inresearch, ideation, prototyping, and user testingwith a user-centric approach.
• UX Design Proficiency:Skilled in creatingwireframes, prototypes, and user flowsusing standard UX tools.
• Facilitation Skills:Ability toconduct workshops and collaborative design sessionsto gather insights and align stakeholders.
• Communication Skills:Strong ability toarticulate design concepts and decisionsclearly and effectively.
• Proficiency in UX Design Tools:Competent in using tools likeFigma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
