Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef – Savory to support the culinary leadership team in delivering high-quality savory dishes. This role requires a strong background in savory cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and team leadership. You will assist in overseeing the day-to-day kitchen activities, ensuring consistent food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities: Support the Sous Chef and Area Chef in all kitchen operations, with a focus on savory production. Supervise and guide line cooks and kitchen assistants during prep and service. Ensure all savory dishes are prepared and presented according to standards and recipes. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in all kitchen areas. Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory, and communicate shortages to the Sous Chef. Ensure proper storage and labeling of all food items. Assist in the development and testing of new savory menu items and specials. Maintain clear communication between kitchen stations and with the front-of-house team. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve skills and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and HACCP standards. Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
