Director of Commissioning Service Delivery & Quality

The Cx Commissioning Service Delivery and Quality Manager ensures that all data center commissioning projects are executed to the highest technical standards and meet client expectations. This role is hands-on in leading quality in service delivery across multiple global projects, setting quality benchmarks, enforcing commissioning procedures, and ensuring our engineering teams continue to deliver industry leading quality.

• Service Delivery
• Ensure commissioning scripts, test plans, load bank plans, commissioning plans and procedures are consistent across projects and meet both internal and client requirements.
• Quality Management
• Define and enforce QA/QC standards for all commissioning activities.
• Review and approve commissioning documentation, including pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, and turnover packages.
• Conduct audits of live projects to verify compliance with standards, safety, and performance expectations.
• Lead investigations into commissioning failures, developing corrective and preventive action plans.
• Maintain a commissioning lessons-learned database and integrate improvements into procedures.
• Leadership
• Mentor and support commissioning engineers, providing guidance on technical issues and best practices.
• Oversee team resourcing, ensuring the right skills are deployed for each project.
• Drive performance accountability through measurable KPIs for delivery, quality, and safety.
• Support training and development programs to improve technical competency across the commissioning team.
• Client Interface
• Act as the escalation point for clients on commissioning delivery and quality issues.
• Partner with clients to ensure commissioning results meet uptime, reliability, and maintainability objectives.
• Build trust by ensuring transparency in reporting and responsiveness to client concerns.

• Clients see consistent project delivery with repeatable high-quality documentation, test scripts and on the ground delivery by our engineers.
• The commissioning team grows in technical capability and delivers at a consistently high level.

• At minimum the candidate is a graduate engineer in a mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, or controls/ automation discipline.
• Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), QCxP, or NEBB TAB/Cx certification preferably.
• Experience with setup of people training programs and training management systems (BVPI-U, MyLearning or similar).
• Lean / Six Sigma training for process improvement preferably.
• Experience with commissioning management platforms (CxAlloy, Procore or similar).
• Experience with the following equipment and systems: chilled water distribution systems, HVAC systems, fire alarm and fighting systems and electrical distribution systems.
• Understand complex control systems and demonstrated experience of building control systems and integration with HVAC/mechanical equipment; functional testing as per documentation and client specifications.
• Summary of minimum functionality tested includes: local and remote start/stop, all failure modes tested, all alarms tested and proven, BMS/SCADA graphics tested, data trending and alarm handling setup.
• Knowledge of Direct Digital Control (DDC), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Building Management System (BMS).
• Understand project documentation and deliverables.
• Experience with test script development and peer review.
• Ability to review Cx & load bank plans against documented standards.
