Head of Physics | Oxted School, Surrey, England

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, motivated and innovative Head of Physics to join Oxted School. Start date: Easter 2025 or earlier if available. You will be an inspirational teacher with the ability to create a nurturing learning environment and a commitment to bringing out the best in every student.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Physics department to deliver high-quality teaching and learning
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider enrichment programme and support the school community
  • Collaborate with colleagues across THPT for professional development and best practice
Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving students’ life chances
  • Ability to work effectively within a values-based organisation (Integrity, Partnership, Advocacy, Resilience, Compassion, Aspiration)
  • Evidence of strong leadership and teaching effectiveness in Physics
  • Relevant safeguarding and compliance requirements as per KCSIE and UK immigration rules
