Overview
Our clients are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead sales and client growth in the Manpower/Resource Augmentation sector. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through new client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and account expansion across IT and professional services. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the staffing, outsourcing, and managed services market, with a proven track record of building high-value relationships with enterprise clients in Singapore and the broader APAC region.
Key Responsibilities- Business Growth & Strategy
- Develop and execute the business development strategy for manpower outsourcing, IT staff augmentation, and professional resource deployment.
- Identify, target, and acquire new enterprise and mid-market clients across industries such as technology, banking & finance, healthcare, telecom, and manufacturing.
- Build strong pipelines through networking, referrals, partnerships, and proactive prospecting.
- Drive revenue growth in line with quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their workforce needs and designing tailored resource augmentation solutions.
- Manage C-level and senior stakeholder relationships with client organizations.
- Lead bid management, proposals, negotiations, and contract closures for staffing and outsourcing engagements.
- Collaborate with delivery and recruitment teams to ensure quality of resource deployment and client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with internal recruitment, HR, and delivery teams to align supply capabilities with client requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior business development managers and account managers.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to build brand presence and demand generation campaigns.
- Market Intelligence & Growth Opportunities
- Stay updated with staffing market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes impacting manpower services in Singapore and APAC.
- Identify opportunities to expand into new service offerings (e.g., managed services, project outsourcing, niche skill augmentation).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, IT, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in manpower outsourcing, IT staffing, or professional services.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets.
- Strong network within enterprise clients, especially in IT, BFSI, and technology-driven sectors.
- Experience in APAC markets, with knowledge of Singapore’s manpower policies and outsourcing regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- New client acquisition and revenue generated from manpower/resource augmentation services.
- Renewal and expansion of existing client contracts.
- Gross margin improvement on staffing deals.
- Client satisfaction (NPS, renewal rates).
