Role OverviewThe IMD Inspection Divisions work closely with the three Banking Departments to achieve collective supervisory effectiveness of financial institutions (FIs).
ResponsibilitiesIMD conducts inspections of banks to assess safety, soundness, culture, and conduct. The division continuously refines its methodologies to adapt to the evolving risk landscape, incorporating data and technology. Collaboration with Banking Departments enhances supervisory effectiveness.
Candidate Profile Technical Competencies- Understanding of bank operations from experience in external auditing, internal audit, risk management, or internal control functions.
- Broad knowledge of key banking businesses and control units, with deep experience in specific areas preferred.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with data analytics and technological tools for risk management and audit purposes is advantageous.
- Experience in culture, governance, and behavior assessments in the financial sector.
- Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills for balanced assessments and judgments.
- Project and time management skills to handle competing demands.
