Thus, independent clinics/business brought into the MVH group go on to benefit from investment in infrastructure, equipment, staff, knowledge and relationships. This includes a comprehensive range of shared services functions; spanning HR, Marketing, Finance, IT etc., enabling clinics and veterinarians to focus on the provision of high-quality animal care. The role Asia is a highly interesting market for MVH and will receive significant investment and support. The successful incumbent will be integral in providing support for all pillars of the finance function of MVH Asia. Accounting and Reporting: Oversee the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting functions for MVH Singapore, ensuring compliance with the Mars Internal Control Excellence Framework and Finance Manual. Liaise with clinics to enhance finance operational efficiency, ensure accurate reporting, support statutory audits and tax compliance, and establish effective internal control processes. Coordinate with outsourced service providers to maintain standardized accounting practices across the Singapore platform. Manage monthly and year-end closing activities in collaboration with third-party accounting service providers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of financial deliverables. Monitor and resolve balance sheet open items in close coordination with internal stakeholders. Support accounting process harmonization initiatives led by the regional finance team. Prepare and submit periodic Mars management reports, including performance analysis and financial commentary. Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities comply with Mars' Internal Control Framework and finance policies. Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, and internal auditors for all audit-related matters, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Ad Hoc Projects & Continuous Improvement: Support legal entity simplification, Oracle implementation, and other transformation projects as needed. Contribute to the accounting and payroll transformation initiatives. Participate in process improvement, standardization, and system implementation projects. Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities to improve financial processes and systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Governance & Control, Oracle team, IT, third-party partners, and hospital operations to address business needs and improve collaboration. MVH is looking for a highly motivated and financially literate individual with drive and determination to create and lead its finance organization. Although this person will need to understand accounting, cash management, legal topics etc., one of their first tasks will be to recruit a team to support them in these aspects, as they in turn work to remove ‘bottlenecks’ in support of the country leader. This person must be able to operate with humility and have a desire to build, whilst also able to take responsibility for driving outcomes. Owing to the diverse nature of clinics and teams, the Finance Manager will likely be good with people, respectful of people’s backgrounds and able to bring together a team. Solid, positive and action-oriented; this person will be a strategic thinker who is organized and able to prioritize tasks from strategic to operational and act as an effective bridge between the corporate and regional business. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field. At least 10 years of progressive experience with combined with commercial and audit background strong communication, technical skills and change management Ability to work independently in cross functional teams Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow and be capable of demonstrating solid analytical thinking Experience with Oracle and Essbase will be helpful but not essential Able to manage 3rd party accounting operations service provider Passion and good understanding for automation in Finance such as Power BI.
