Overview

Public Relations Associate, Singapore Marketing at Shopee. This is a full-time role suited for early-career candidates who are passionate about corporate communications and eager to grow in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. The ideal candidate has experience supporting communications or PR projects, with demonstrated success in managing timelines, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and contributing to messaging or content development. Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of earned-led PR initiatives that drive awareness and strengthen Shopee’s brand reputation in Singapore.
  • Draft press materials, messaging documents, internal briefs, and support day-to-day communications needs.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, business development, partnerships, legal, operations) to align on communications timelines, data points, and approvals.
  • Assist in managing media queries and monitoring public sentiment, supporting reputation management efforts with tact and attention to detail.
  • Support media monitoring efforts, including coverage tracking, compiling highlights, and contributing to weekly and monthly PR reports.
  • Provide project management support by coordinating across key workstreams such as campaign rollouts, media engagement, and internal communications, ensuring timely execution and alignment with communications objectives.
  • Uphold Shopee’s communications guidelines and brand standards, acting as a gatekeeper for message consistency across all touchpoints.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a public relations agency or in-house communications team.
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills, and a sharp eye for tone, clarity, and messaging across formats.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and follow through on tasks.
  • Proactive and accountable, with a resourceful approach and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s media and public affairs landscape is a plus.
