We seek an accomplished in-house legal counsel, with extensive experience in fund management, regulatory compliance, cross border transactions and business/commercial functions.You will be joining a team to grow and develop the legal and compliance functions in South-East Asia with the opportunity to be involved in global transaction-structuring projects.Major Responsibilities: Support all legal and compliance functions of a fund management company. Review and manage the full documentation for the setup and launch of fund offerings. Review and draft transaction documents, related to asset management, business transactions and Conduct legal and regulatory research across jurisdictions and advise on implications for fund structures, products, and client types. Lead the design, formation, and negotiation of customized fund structures or investment structures for UHNW and institutional investors. Support regulatory compliance and manage ongoing compliance matters related to fund management activities. Providing strategic legal advice to the senior management to provide solutions to meet business and regulatory requirements. Education: Bachelor's degree in Law. Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles within financial institutions such as asset/fund managers, fintech companies, or banks. Strong understanding of legal issues surrounding fund formation, wealth structuring, portfolio management, and investor compliance. Strong working knowledge of the Singapore regulatory framework. Demonstrated experience interacting with regulators (especially MAS), and managing regulatory inspections, licensing, and reporting obligations.
