Job Summary

As a member of Crystal’s Singapore office, the CAD/BIM role serves as an "Information & Solution Fulfillment" Specialist to our customers and internal stakeholders by preparing, sharing and presenting information that guides the customer to project success. Duties will include preparing engineering designs, drawings and related technical information, in multidisciplinary consultancy teams supporting engineers, architects and designers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Interested candidates must be able to legally work in Singapore and provide the necessary documentation for confirmation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Engineering Documentation
  • Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
  • Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets.
  • Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
  • Write technical reports and design custom-fabricated materials and components.
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates.
  • Manage and maintain the CAD/BIM model library of Crystal Components.
  • Participate in and maintain a documented engineering method.
  • Develop and maintain CAD/BIM models of typical families used in water feature design.
Quality
  • Be a leader of engineering information quality of presentation and accuracy of content.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure BIM models accurately represent design intent.
  • Ensure consistent quality by providing technical orientation and training to staff and other stakeholders on the use of AutoCAD/BIM software, methodology and fundamentals.
Automation
  • Champion automated engineering systems to improve efficiency of information production.
  • Participate in the automation of Process Flow Diagrams and Budgetary figures for water features using CAD.

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC and other relevant design software.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
  • Self-Motivated: Takes initiative and is solution oriented.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to bring clarity to unclear situations or seek direction when needed.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with 2D drafting, 3D design and modeling software.
    • Experience with BIM coordination.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific, including construction, regulations and standards.
