Overview

The Project Manager, Digital Communications will work collaboratively with the researchers from the Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics and Science (IDMxS) and the science communication administrators to create and promote content about the research and activities of IDMxS, related to topics including molecular analytics, material science, chemistry, bioinformatics, and nanomaterials.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update organization materials, such as IP portfolio and publications, and collaborate with researchers to create articles, infographics, and videos that highlight key breakthroughs.
  • Promote public engagement initiatives, science fairs, conferences, workshops, and industry events that showcase IDMxS research.
  • Design and maintain the organization’s digital content, including social media, blogs, and website updates; translate complex research into compelling narratives.
  • Collaborate with IDMxS scientists and science communication administrators to translate and share the impact of IDMxS research and activities through IDMxS communication channels.
  • Manage the institute’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Support events as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Master’s degree in science with around 5 years of experience writing about science-related topics.
  • Proven ability to work well with a multi-functional team and diverse stakeholders.
  • Well-organized with experience in project management.
  • Strong communicator with experience creating and editing science content for digital platforms; skills in video production, photography, and event management are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong team spirit, while effectively managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
