What you will be working on:

As a Customer Service Officer / Executive, you will assist and address a wide range of enquiries from the public regarding matters under the Ministry of Law's purview. This includes insolvency (individual or corporate), Public Trustee applications, moneylending and pawnbroking, community mediation, legal aid, and regulations concerning precious stones, metals, and products. You will also assist the public with online application submissions and handle backend roles such as responding to call-back requests, engaging in live chats, and cross-channel work.

Requirements and Key Competencies

  • Customer Service and Case Management: Effectively deliver services, coordinate, and manage cases from request to resolution, including resolving challenges and performing service recovery.
  • Service Quality and Standards: Manage, develop, and review service quality through standards and quality checks to identify improvements.
  • Service Strategy and Policy Planning: Develop and maintain policies, plans, and activities aligned with the service vision.
  • Service Workforce Capability Development: Enhance team skills and knowledge via learning and knowledge management practices.

Personal Traits / Work Experience

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; citizen-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to engage with diverse citizens.
  • Personal drive to excel and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Effective team player.
  • Proficient in writing responses to public queries.
  • Fluent in spoken English and at least one other language; dialects are an asset.
  • Capable of handling projects, multitasking, and adapting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT skills.
