BI & Analytics Engineer — 1-Year Contract

Location: Central Singapore • Salary: Up to SGD 9,500/month (DOE) Contract: 1‑Year contract The Role We’re seeking a hands‑on BI & Analytics Engineer to co‑lead and run day‑to‑day reporting operations. You’ll mentor a small reports team, own platform reliability and security, and deliver scalable, governed analytics. This is an operational role for a proactive self‑starter who’s detail‑oriented and comfortable with flexible/extended hours to meet critical outcomes. What You’ll Do Team enablement: Support the reporting team lead; mentor engineers/analysts to uphold delivery quality and SLAs. BOBJ delivery & admin: Build, deploy and maintain SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence) assets; manage users, security, folder structures and authorizations. Integrations: Develop REST API integrations to exchange data between BOBJ and other systems. Data layer & services: Design HANA ABAP CDS views; build ABAP RAP services and SEGW Fiori Gateway services to power reporting. Requirements to design: Translate business needs into robust technical designs, models and reusable datasets. Analytics modeling: Perform Analytics CDS modeling for governed, performant data access.Security & governance: Implement CDS authorization concepts and SAP security mechanisms to ensure compliance. UX polish: Customize WebI layouts for clarity, accessibility and performance. Operations & incidents: Act as secondary incident manager — triage, resolve and elevate reporting issues on time. Must‑Have Skills Strong expertise in SAP BOBJ/BO/BI , WebI , ABAP CDS and Analytics data modeling . Hands‑on REST API programming and SAP‑external system integration. Proven experience in operational BI ensuring availability, performance and timely releases. Self‑starter who can work independently while guiding others. Willingness to work extended hours during cutovers/incidents. Excellent problem‑solving , stakeholder management and communication skills. Nice to Have Exposure to ABAP RAP , SEGW Fiori Gateway , HANA SQLScript , BW/4HANA or S/4HANA . Familiarity with Git/DevOps , transport/release management and automated testing for reports.
