Connect Energy isseeking on behalf of a start up commodities and supply chain company to look foran experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join the team in Singapore. The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, reporting, analysis, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance and accounting, along with a deep understanding of the commodities trading industry. Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop, implement, and manage financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the financial health of the business and recommend appropriate actions. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements. Generate insightful management reports and present financial performance to senior management. Supply Chain Financial Management: Collaborate with supply chain teams to understand and analyze costs related to procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Evaluate cost structures and identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce expenses within the supply chain. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks. Monitor market and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities in the commodities market. Assist in developing risk management strategies and hedging activities related to commodity price fluctuations. Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations and strategic initiatives. Coordinate with treasury functions to optimize cash management and financing arrangements. Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment. Provide guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and capabilities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus. Proven experience (10 years) as a Finance Manager or similar role within the commodities trading or supply chain industry. Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
