Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the origination and execution of infrastructure & energy finance transactions positioning the bank on Underwriting and Lead Arranging roles.
  • Lead deal teams in executing arranging or advisory mandates and be responsible for analysis of new transactions and supervising the credit approval process. Presentation of new business opportunities to senior management and credit committee.
  • Be a key actor in developing the Natixis’ South-East Asia Infrastructure & Energy Finance franchise.
  • Role will cover senior and junior debt arranging and potential debt advisory across all relevant sectors i.e. transportation, social and environmental, power & renewables, telecoms/digital infra, oil & gas and metals & mining.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships (in conjunction with senior bankers and coverage teams) in the SEA region and contribute to strategic developments in the region, with a particular focus on financial sponsors: infrastructure funds, private equity, pension funds.
  • Main focus on business development and origination in Singapore, Indonesia, India, Malaysia and Thailand as primary markets and general support in the wider APAC region as necessary.
  • Take the initiative in pitching and responding to client requests to source transactions in line with the bank’s appetite and profitability requirements.
  • Proactive joint working with distribution and syndication teams to ensure sell down targets are achieved.
  • Cross pollination and joint working with other product lines (e.g. leverage finance, M&A, DCM, structured hedging, global trade etc.) to maximize client engagement and deliver optimal solutions to clients.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in infrastructure finance / project finance.
  • Proven track record with Infra Funds / Financial sponsors, coverage, industry group, digital infrastructure and/or renewable energy.
  • Track record in digital infrastructure and/or renewable energy.
  • Understanding of senior and junior debt arranging.
  • Capacity to manage a VP and Junior group.
  • Large autonomy; capacity to lead a sole underwriting and bilateral discussions with clients.
  • At least 5 years of working in the SEA region.
  • Good market contacts and client network.
  • Solid credit skills and effective management of the transaction process.
  • Team player and good communications skills.
  • Discipline, Organized and Proactive.
