The team designs and maintains robust AI systems that support critical operations, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and excellence. As the Lead AI Infrastructure at HTxAI, you will design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure for AI and machine learning projects, including scalable compute environments and data storage, to support continuous deployment and integration of AI models. The ideal candidate is highly technical, enjoys solving problems, can code, takes ownership, and is a strong team player who aspires to excellence and continuous learning, embracing failures.

• Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure required for AI and machine learning projects, including on-premises servers and cloud-based resources.
• Develop and optimize data storage solutions to handle large-scale, confidential datasets.
• Implement and manage scalable compute environments for training and deploying AI models.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of AI infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their infrastructure needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and version control.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI infrastructure technologies and recommend appropriate adoption.
• Provide technical support and guidance for AI infrastructure-related issues.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-8 years of work experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on supporting AI and machine learning projects.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with data storage solutions (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases, data lakes).
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements for handling confidential data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience with AI/ML model deployment and management.
• Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed systems.
• Certifications in cloud platforms or infrastructure engineering.
• All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract initially and will be assessed for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
