At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're hiring an International Expansion Business Development Manager on our team to work with senior leaders, partner management, and field sales teams across the APJ region to grow the AWS Marketplace business. You will work across multiple cross-functional teams, including AWS Marketplace & Partner Services Engineering, AWS Tax and Legal, and other key stakeholders to ensure we are advocating on behalf of our partners and customers to build the right features that will unlock more value from AWS Marketplace and increase our revenue across the region.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesThe role will be responsible for working with regional teams throughout APJ to grow the AWS Marketplace business. Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage programs to achieve goals. Includes mitigating delivery risks, tracking progress, communicating and driving alignment among stakeholders and project teams, and delivering results. Includes developing BD launch plans, wikis, enablement material to support the launch of key features.
- Ensure our business development teams meet the required launch timelines for activities, such as enablement and securing partner interest in the launches.
- Provide input to and support the delivery of an overall APJ international expansion strategy by collaborating with regional peers, leaders, and relevant supporting business functions, such as Engineering, Operations, Tax, and Legal.
- Collect voice of the customer from partners and customers as needed to support international expansion feature prioritization and advocate on our customer's behalf with Marketplace Product & Engineering teams.
- Research technical, operational, or financial details to understand the business, develop insights, and represent this perspective in discussions. Includes investigating key dependencies, business drivers, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Utilize mechanisms to ensure all key stakeholders are kept up to date on launch and post-launch goals, plans, risks, and develop remediations where needed.
- Collaborate with senior leaders along with peers in the region to provide input to their regional AWS Partner Org & AWS Marketplace Operating Plans and other strategic documents.
- Collaborate with local teams across the region in support of customers and partner facing events and activities.
- Identify areas of improvement and be an advocate for change where needed.

About the TeamAWS Marketplace is a curated digital catalog that customers can use to find, buy, deploy, and manage third-party software, data, and services to build solutions and run their businesses. AWS Marketplace includes thousands of software listings from popular categories such as security, business applications, machine learning, and data products across specific industries, such as healthcare, financial services, and telecommunications. The AWS Marketplace Center of Excellence helps shape the strategy for AWS Marketplace by working closely with our customers and partners to provide voice of the customer to Engineering and Product Management and other AWS teams to influence the short- and long-term roadmap.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- A Bachelors degree or 8+ years equivalent work experience in a sales or business development environment
- 5+ years of experience in a technical business development/partnership capacity
- 3+ years of working with ISVs and Channel Partners on AWS Marketplace
- Proven track record of senior executive engagement both internally and externally with the ability to manage and resolve complex problems
- Ability to deal with a high-degree of ambiguity and operate autonomously in scenarios involving competing priorities
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams, as well as internal and external executive stakeholders
- Experience in a heavily matrixed environment; including developing, implementing, managing, and executing go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motions
- Experience leading multiple projects across a large enterprise
- Experience developing and scaling global ISV operational excellence programs/best practices
