Operations Support Services Technical Officer

Candidates should possess experience in supporting Electrical/Electronic Engineering-related systems. Candidates with knowledge and experience in marine electronics, command and control systems, communication systems, and the deployment, servicing, and troubleshooting of networked Electronics, Communications, and Power systems will have an added advantage. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment to meet collective goals. To attend promptly to ad-hoc breakdown and maintenance of systems at the remote sites, including proactive coordination and supervision of accordance with maintenance support plans and procedures. Systems maintenance work may require personnel to stay overnight (up to four consecutive nights at one stretch) at remote sites due to considerations such as operational urgency, system time, ingress and/or travelling time and work schedule.2. To perform Duty Technical Offier (DTO's) at each of the two centres or any of sites, operation center in accordance with the assigned shiftwork.3. To check maintenance checklists and service reports of systems4. To assist in the management of maintenance contracts (MC) and term contracts (TCs) for maintenance works, which includes technical specifications for MCs and TCs, planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance activities, monitoring of maintenance expenditures.5. To accompany and/or represent in attending site meetings, conducting site survey, and carrying out spot checks on maintenance works,6. To coordinate with internal departments and divisions and external organizations for maintenance work arrangements, including schedule deconfliction if needed.7. To assist in the procurement of spare parts, test equipment and tools for maintenance works, which includes obtaining quotations from suppliers for works/services and arrange for contractors to carry out such work and/or services.8. To maintain an updated record of systems, which includes system failure data, documentation etc.9. To support in attending to ad-hoc requests from users for installations, relocations, re-wiring and modifications of port systems and equipment10. To be on standby for urgent jobs on a 24-hour round-the-clock basis including weekends and public holidays, based on operational need for high system availability, and to respond within two hours at site if activated.11. To perform any other duties delegated when required in compliance with the Employment Act.12. To assist in keeping track and maintaining the documentation of Systems compliance requirements (e.g. Cybersecurity Code of Practice, system availability, etc)13. To assist in system engineering works, which involve feasibility study, proof-of-concept, system design, life-cycle analysis and design review14. To assist in project management and coordination works15. To assist in carrying out site supervision of projects, site installation works, testing and commissioning of the various systems/equipment.16.
