What the role is: As a Senior Manager/ Lead Manager, Planning and Operations in the Safety, Security and Emergency Branch (SSEB) under the Infrastructure and Facility Services Division, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for overseeing the review and management of MOE safety, security and emergency preparedness policies, standards and culture to ensure a safe learning environment for our students and staff in mainstream schools, special education schools and Institutes of Higher Learning. What you will be working on: Plan and formulate strategies to ensure MOE’s readiness in supporting Whole of Government assigned roles Support SSEB’s Secretariat function in organising, executing and/ or participating in key MOE Emergency Preparedness meetings and events Conduct briefings to internal and external stakeholders, and work with MOE HQ divisions and educational institutions to build, validate and maintain required readiness (e.g. through emergency exercises) Liaise with other government agencies and conduct research and trend analysis to monitor the emergence of emergency incidents Partner with divisional emergency planning representatives to keep them updated on developments of the environment, and provide guidance for their planning and execution of emergency plans where necessary What we are looking for: At least 3 years of working experience in strategic or emergency planning Dynamic and highly motivated individual with good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Comfortable with change, ambiguity and complexity Ability to work independently, collaboratively and under tight deadlines Good written and verbal skills In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
