Job Overview

We seek a hands-on Technical Manager to lead engineering teams in deploying complex cybersecurity, network, and infrastructure solutions while driving presales excellence.

You will architect integrated systems, manage project escalations, and mentor engineers across security/network/infra domains.

This hybrid role requires deep technical expertise to both guide implementations and develop client-facing solutions for APAC enterprises.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Team Leadership (40%):

  1. Lead 8-12 engineers across cybersecurity, network, and infrastructure teams.
  2. Conduct code/architecture reviews for critical deployments (e.g., SIEM rules, Zero Trust frameworks).
  3. Develop upskilling programs for emerging tech (SASE, Cloud IaaS/PaaS, AIOps).

Project Delivery Oversight (30%):

  1. Own end-to-end delivery of concurrent projects:
  2. Cybersecurity: XDR/MDR rollouts, PAM, cloud security posture management
  3. Network: SD-WAN, NGFW, SASE implementations
  4. Infrastructure: Hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure), hyperconverged systems
  5. Implement DevOps practices (IaC, CI/CD pipelines) for deployment automation.
  6. Manage RAID logs for high-risk projects with P&L accountability.

Presales Solutioning (30%):

  1. Architect client solutions aligned to frameworks:
  2. Security: NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK
  3. Network: Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto ecosystems
  4. Infrastructure: VMware, Azure Stack, Red Hat OpenShift
  5. Lead RFP responses (BoQ, SOW, technical proposals) with pricing strategy.
  6. Deliver technical deep dives/POCs for strategic opportunities.
Requirements

Technical Competencies

Must-have Expertise:

  1. Cybersecurity: Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR, firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS, and cloud security tools (Wiz, Prisma Cloud).
  2. Network: Advanced routing/switching (BGP, OSPF), SD-WAN, load balancing (F5), wireless design.
  3. Infrastructure: Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), containerization (Kubernetes), IaC (Terraform/Ansible).
  4. Cloud: Hybrid architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP) with multi-account governance.

Project Methodologies:

  1. Agile/Waterfall delivery with tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
  2. Risk management (ISO 27001, NIST 800-53 compliance).

Leadership & Commercial Skills

  1. 8+ years in technical roles (3+ years managing engineering teams).
  2. Track record of delivering 15+ projects on time/budget in security/network/infra domains.
  3. Presales experience: Won ≥SGD 10M in solutions deals over 2 years.
  4. Client escalation resolution (SLA adherence, post-mortem leadership).

Certifications (Required) :

  1. PMP/PRINCE2, CISSP/CISM

Certifications (Preferred) :

  1. Cloud: AWS Solutions Architect Pro/Azure Expert
  2. Network: CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE
  3. Infra: VMware VCP-DCV, Red Hat RHCA

Soft Skills:

  1. Ability to translate technical specs into business outcomes for C-suite.
  2. Coaching engineers through complex troubleshooting (e.g., packet analysis, forensic investigations).
  3. Crisis management during P1 outages/breaches.
