Job Description

We are seeking a Product Compliance & Risk Manager to join our growing Product Compliance & Risk team in APAC (South-East Asia). This role focuses on developing and enhancing Wise products for Business customers in South-East Asia. It offers a unique opportunity to impact Wise’s mission and help save money for millions.

This is a first-line Product Compliance & Risk role, embedded within the APAC Product Squad. You will collaborate with the team in South-East Asia to:

  • Create and improve products for Business customers: Understand regulatory needs, translate them into solutions, and work with Product Teams to build compliant, customer-oriented products.
  • Regulatory analysis and controls: Analyze new products and services for regulatory compliance and ensure controls are in place before launch.

Regulatory Risk and Remediation

  • Support Product and other teams in interpreting regulatory requirements, improving processes, and avoiding breaches or incidents, by understanding both Wise products and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to identify main regulatory issues in South-East Asia, communicate clearly, and develop solutions.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, especially in financial regulation within South-East Asia
  • Experience in FinTech or financial regulation roles (e.g., consultancy, compliance)
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively
  • Problem-solving skills, using regulation and data to inform decisions
  • Strong project execution skills with attention to detail
  • Fluency in English and legal authorization to work in Singapore
  • Willingness to travel across countries

Preferred Skills:

  • Collaborative team player with stakeholder management skills
  • Passion for problem-solving and product development
  • Effective communicator with practical recommendations
  • Additional language skills in South-East Asia are a plus
