What you will be working on

Digital Economy Products (DEP) is a division within GovTech run like a modern product company, solving important underserved problems spanning across Healthcare, Manpower, Trade-Industry-Finance, National Development and Sustainability sectors.

Product Managers at DEP are key to our success. They lead cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, designers and researchers and are ultimately responsible for product outcomes. They show exceptional clarity of thought, and this is reflected in their written and verbal communication skills. They lead through influence and use hard evidence, reputation and relationships to create stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

Through the GreenGov initiative, the government has committed to the public its aim to achieve net-zero emissions by approximately 2045. Furthermore, it has established clear and measurable milestones to facilitate progress across all agencies. Since the year 2021, agencies have utilised the eGreenGov portal, which is housed within the National Environment Agency’s Waste and Resource Management System (WRMS), to report various environmental data of their respective premises.

The Public Sector Sustainability Office (PSSO) reviews the progress of agencies, provides updates to the Cabinet, and produces the annual GreenGov report championing the GreenGov initiative. They intend to help agencies identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency and climate resilience, and partner with them to streamline the process of implementing these improvements.

You are expected to

• Understand PSSO’s mission.
• Partner with PSSO and public sector agencies on the problem spaces and opportunities to move towards the net-zero emissions goal.
• Build and grow your understanding of the sustainability landscape.
• Own the solutions from design to implementation to future enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with business owners and technical teams to build the optimal user experience.
• Validate hypotheses. Identify risks, mitigate them by testing them early.
• Define and track impact metrics. Keep stakeholders informed.
• You are ultimately responsible for driving product outcomes for the organisation.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an independent person with a mastery of product management fundamentals.

• 4-10 years of experience in a Product Management role.
• Experience in leading discovery and navigating ambiguity, eventually delivering impactful products in their career in complex organisations, working with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and communicate effectively with both users and senior leadership.
• Strong product sense, especially around problem framing, MVP definition, and iterative development.
• Strong belief and drive for sustainability is a plus
