Position

We are seeking a Portfolio Funding Operations Manager . The role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of trade receivables financing deals, overseeing the allocation of assets, and managing SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles). This role ensures the smooth operation of receivables funding, liquidity management, and deal profitability.

What you will be doing
  • Own the asset allocation process at trade, assigning deals to notes or funders based on eligibility and limits.
  • Forecast liquidity and concentration limits to enable pre-trade limit reservation.
  • Own and maintain eligibility criteria and input into the asset allocation tool.
  • Drive portfolio rebalancing and remove or reject underperforming buyers/deals.
  • Provide input to steer origination efforts toward portfolio needs.
  • Develop ad-hoc tools and upgrade internal forecasting models, such as buyer payment behaviour prediction.
  • Work with relevant teams to improve internal processes and tools (e.g. dashboards) to reduce manual work and focus on exceptions.
SPV Management and Portfolio Reporting
  • Respond to investor queries and support ad-hoc analysis.
  • Produce and distribute regular reports to investors.
  • Oversee and authorise SPV payments, working with central service providers.
  • Analyse liquidity mix across direct funders, notes, and warehouse to optimise funding strategy.
  • Maintain and improve cash flow models and ensure accurate payment tracking.
  • Calculate and monitor interest payments and profitability metrics across deals.
  • Manage vendor performance and ensure alignment on reporting and data.
What you will need to be successful
  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A major in Accountancy is strongly preferred.
  • Fully qualified accountant (preferably through ISCA or an equivalent recognised body), or significant progress toward qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance-related roles.
  • Advanced Excel skills — proficient in scenario modelling and what-if analysis.
  • Comfortable acting as a point of contact for commercial teams on funding-related matters.
  • Able to effectively resolve problems and challenges on an ongoing basis – escalating where necessary.
  • Experience with trade finance or trade credit insurance is a plus.
