Head of Clearing Operations

EDXM Global Pte Ltd (“EDXM Global”) is an affiliate of EDX Clearing LLC, which launched spot trading in the U.S. in June 2023 and is expanding its product suite into derivatives and its geographic reach to the APAC region, and beyond. EDXM Global is a fast-growing digital asset company which operates a marketplace meeting the needs of both crypto-native firms as well as the world’s largest financial institutions. The Firm enables safer, faster, and more efficient trading of digital assets, leveraging best practices from traditional financial markets on a purpose-built crypto platform.

EDXM Global is seeking a full-time Head of Clearing Operations, based in Singapore, to lead a team fulfilling day to day processing of trades, deposits, withdrawals, account reconciliations and resolve any issues or exceptions. This role oversees daily operational processes, ensuring consistent and efficient settlement of transactions. The role will serve as the front line of resolving Members’ clearing, risk and operational related issues. You will closely work with stakeholders across technology, compliance, legal, and business development to implement best practices and processes related to clearing of trades, treasury management, client onboarding, and market risk.

• Lead a team to implement and carry out standard operating procedures (SOPs) with diligence to ensure error free implementation of changes.
• Provide support and manage operational risk for the firm’s trade settlement, digital asset and fiat custody, clearing, settlement, deposit, and withdrawal processes.
• Monitor and manage trade lifecycle related to digital asset transactions and flow of funds.
• Serve as process owner for current functionality and provide critical support and input regarding enhancements to technology, workflows, and processes.
• Oversee the clearinghouse’s execution of risk management tools and provide support for related clearing Member needs.
• Manage treasury and liquidity in support of settlement workflows.
• Interface with product and technology teams to improve processes where identified opportunities exist, to increase automation where possible and support meeting the overall needs of the clearinghouse.
• Help manage projects, including project timeline, preparing project status updates and reports, managing Jira workflows and ensuring successful delivery of projects within timeline.
• Contribute to the company’s strategic vision.
• Recruit and retain top operational talent.

• 5 years of experience in operations, preferably from banking / brokerage / fintech industry.
• Previous experience supporting fixed income, currencies, spot crypto, derivatives or commodities products.
• Experience working with exchange-traded and over-the-counter products and/or derivatives, in a clearing, settlement and/or risk management role.
• Previous experience overseeing default waterfall tools related to margin calls, auto-liquidations and auto-deleveraging.
• Experience with digital asset custodians and blockchain networks is a plus.
• Substantial prior experience managing a team and interaction with clients, internal sales and senior management in an active trading environment.
• Working with clearinghouse portfolio risk methodologies such as SPAN, STANS, or Prisma.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, synthesize information and implement workable solutions.
• Strong understanding of clearing default management resources and tools, including initial and maintenance margin models, auto liquidations and auto-deleveraging.
• Be flexible working across different time zones in a 24/7/365 support environment.
• Ability to provide support to Members in high pressure situations.
• Proficiency in both written/spoken English.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or another quantitative field or material equivalent exposure.
• Strong attention to detail.
