Job Description
You are part of the HQ Regional Controllership team in Sea Finance. Based in Malaysia, you are required to work closely with LATAM Finance teams to drive crucial projects and bridge the gap between HQ and local teams.
To effectively perform this role, you are required to work in the LATAM time zone and travel to the local markets frequently. Competitive remuneration and suitable work arrangement will be implemented to provide more support to employees.
Assist in overseeing and guiding country finance teams within the region on month-end closing, accuracy of system data and any accounting related mattersCoordinate and direct the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecast exercises.Manage and oversee the cash flow forecasts and projections to effectively manage cash balancesAssist in develop financial policies and procedures in compliance with group level requirements and local GAAPAssist in leading crucial projects such as revenue recognition, process improvement, system implementation and other group level initiatives while managing stakeholders from diverse backgroundsSeek excellence and continuous improvement through reviewing current business models, identify potential finance and tax risks and proposing feasible solutions to the managementAssist business through providing data, insights and analytics to support the team in making the right data driven decisionsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related disciplineExperience working in/with Asia or Latin AmericaOver 7 years of relevant working experienceBig 4 accounting firm experience desired but not a mustWillingness to work in LATAM time zone and travel frequentlyStrong team player with experience in leading, developing and growing teamsPassionate in the finance space and loves to challenge the status quoEnjoys working in a fast-paced and demanding environment while delivering desired resultsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders from diverse backgroundsStrong logical and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracyProficient in Microsoft ExcelExperience with voluminous data management, statistics and research methodology will be a plusCan be based in any part of Malaysia
